Young Carers
A young carer is someone under 18 helping to look after someone with their illness, frailty, disability, a mental health problem or an addiction.
Adult Carers
A adult carer is someone over 18 helping to look after someone – usually another adult with their illness, frailty, disability, mental health problem or an addiction.
Parent Carers
A parent carer is someone over 18 who provides care to a disabled child for whom they have parental responsibility.
Non-parent Carers
A non-parent carer is someone over 18 who provides care to a disabled child for whom they do not have parental responsibility (such as a grandparent).
