The SIGNAL Carers Service is run by a local charity, The Ark Trust CIO based in Bracknell Forest and is funded by Bracknell Forest Council and the NHS Frimley Clinical Commissioning Group.
Recognising yourself as a carer can be a way of acknowledging that you have an important role. Your role may be rewarding but one which can also be stressful and demanding.
As a carer, it is important you are aware of the range of help and services available, locally and nationally, so you can get the help and support you need to continue caring without putting your own health or emotional well-being at risk.
SIGNAL supports carers by listening and providing emotional support, signposting to services, making regular welfare calls, providing information, advice and guidance, help completing application forms and paperwork. We also provide networking with other carers, and training to help carers fulfil their caring role.
SIGNAL provides this service over the telephone, via email, virtually online and through support groups and home visits.
Vision
Our vision is that every carer in Bracknell Forest is recognised, informed and supported to lead a healthy, fulfilling life with control over their caring role.
