Information, Advice & Support Service

The Information, Advice & Support Service (IASS) provides free confidential and impartial advice, information and support to parents/carers, children and young people, who have, or may have, Special Educational Needs & Disabilities (SEND) in Bracknell Forest (you will need to live in and pay your council tax to Bracknell Forest Council).

Visit the IASS website where you will find information about the type of support they offer, an introduction to the team, policies, factsheets and a range of documents and information.

Types of support offered include: confidential helpline (telephone and email); general information on special educational needs; help for parents/carers/children and young people to express their views; support through the Education, Health and care plan process (such as help with the initial application process, checking the content of plans, appeals and mediation); help to complete forms; help to understand complex documents and reports; face to face help, support and advice; support at meetings (diary dependent); presentations to support groups; signposting to other relevant groups/organisations.
